Yemi Odubade

Ebbsfleet United 1-3 Oxford United

Oxford United ended their season on a high with a 3-1 victory over Ebbsfleet United at Stonebridge Road on Saturday afternoon.

The U's started the game the brighter of the two sides and took the lead inside the first minute when Matthew Green finished off a flowing move which involved Yemi Odubade.

The visitors doubled their lead on 20 minutes when Phil Trainer finished off another impressive move by Odubade.

And it was 3-0 to the visitors eight minutes later when Green grabbed his second of the game when he picked up yet another wonderful delivery from Odubade.

The home side struggled to grab hold of the game in the first half, but it looked like all of that would change when they pulled a goal back shortly after the break.

George Purcell capitilised on some poor defending to tap home a Chris McPhee pass form close range.

With the home side looking like a beaten side, Oxford played out the remaining minutes of their season in a confident mood, with wonderful passing moves and clever runs the order of the day.
