Weston-super-Mare manager Tony Ricketts has moved quickly to sign cover at left-back after Bradley Middleton walked out on the Blue Square South club after only four games.
Ben Willshire will fill-in at left-backin the meanwhile, but Ricketts has brought in full international Ludovic Quistin on trial with a view to a permanent signing.
24-year-old Quistin, who is capped by Guadaloupe, has played for a number of English teams including Wycombe Wanderers, Luton Town, Leyton Orient, Brentford, Billericay Town, Kings Lynn, Havant & Waterlooville, Tooting & Mitcham, Harlow Town and Dorchester Town.
Quistin is currently under contract at UniBond League Premier Division side Hednesford Town with The Midlands club admitting reportedly admitting that they would be prepared to let the defender go for nothing if his trial spell proves successful.
Former Cardiff City defender and youth team captain Middleton was unhappy at not making the squad in what would have been his first game for the club against Worcester City; and after being included the following Monday to face Dorchester Town, Middleton was again excluded from the squad for the Maidenhead tie.
