Tamworth v Gateshead

Gateshead boss Ian Bogie will target maximum points when his relegation-threatened outfit meets with faltering Tamworth at the Lamb Ground on Tuesday.

While the Tynesiders are struggling in the drop zone, Bogie remains optimistic as fourteenth-placed Tamworth have lost their last four games. In addition, the Lambs will surrender six points once the table gets adjusted following the demise of Chester City.

"Tamworth are on a poor run and under a bit of pressure having lost six points after Chester City were kicked out while we enter the game on the back of a good win," Bogie told his club's official website.

"There are, however, no easy games at this level. At this stage of the season it is all about results and it is good to have the luxury of naming an unchanged side."

In team news, Martin Brittain remains sidelined with a long-term injury while Wayne Phillips and Steven Richardson are available having recovered from their respective ailments.

Meanwhile, Tamworth assistant manager Darron Gee is confident his young charges will regain their earlier form.

"This is a very young squad and people forget that sometimes but we are delighted with what this set of players have achieved this season. They have been outstanding," he said.

"We now have to get our heads down and get on with it until the end of the season, and we have to work hard to make sure we get more points on the table."

The Lambs are set to be without Jake Sheridan, who has an eye injury, and Nick Wright (ankle), but they will be boosted by the return of Iyseden Christie, who returns from suspension.
