AFC Wimbledon v Hayes & Yeading

Terry Brown's AFC Wimbledon could possibly break into the play-off places with a victory over Hayes & Yeading at Kingsmeadow on Boxing Day.

The Dons trail the play-off places by two points and could claim fifth place if Kettering Town lose to Tamworth on Saturday.

Brown is boosted by the return of playmaker Will Hendry, who is expected to line-up against his former club after recovering from a hamstring injury.

The Dons boss told the Wimbledon Guardian: "If we had have been playing Hayes a month ago I would have been very confident, but they are unbeaten in seven games so we have to take them seriously.

"They are one of my old clubs and I have never won there, so I know just how difficult it will be.

"Three games in six days is obviously a big ask for everybody, but every team in the division is going through the same thing so we cannot complain about it."

Hayes & Yeading manager Garry Haylock has the luxury of a fully-fit squad to choose from for the trip to AFC Wimbledon.

However, Haylock will have to make do without the services of suspended full-back Adam Green.

Green told the Uxbridge Gazette: "I love playing on Boxing Day, and Wimbledon away is a huge game in front of a big crowd.

"Hopefully it will get called off so I can play there when it is rearranged!

"We've got some big games coming up over Christmas and I think we can go to Wimbledon and win and keep our run going."
