Coventry make Hussey stay permanent

Championship outfit Coventry FC have announced the signing of defender Chris Hussey from Blue Square Premier side AFC Wimbledon for an undisclosed fee.

Hussey has put pen-to-paper on a three-and-a-half-year deal at the Ricoh Arena after initially joining the Sky Blues on a loan agreement.

Coventry boss Chris Coleman told the club's official website: "We brought Chris Hussey as one for the future because he is, in my opinion, the best left-back in the Conference.

"In the short time he has been here we have already had three or four enquiries from other clubs asking if we will let him out on loan and we have told them no.

"In Chris we feel we have got someone who is going to turn into a very good player, it's all in front of him and we are looking forward to continually working with him."
