AFC Wimbledon v Forest Green

AFC Wimbledon will be looking to strengthen their play-off hopes when they entertain struggling Forest Green Rovers on Saturday afternoon.

The Dons currently find themselves in the thick of things in the play-off race and will view this fixture as a must-win if they are to realise their goals.

AFC Wimbledon boss Terry Brown is looking for a response from his side after a few poor results by their standards this season.

Brown told the club's official website: "Saturday's game against Forest Green Rovers takes on extra importance after a couple of disappointing defeats.

"The squad is now back to its strongest level, except for our long term injured players, and I hope competition for places will ensure a better performance on Saturday.

"As expected with a young side, our form has fluctuated from month to month and it is important in the latter half of the season that we concentrate on more consistent performances to enable us to keep in touch with the play off positions."

Brown looks set to be without Ross Montague, Glenn Poole and Steven Gregory for the clash, while he has an otherwise fully-fit squad from which to choose.

New recruit Reece Styche should see some game-time as the Dons look to add to their goals for tally.

Rovers travel to AFC Wimbledon looking to climb out of danger, although it will be a difficult task given the gap between the two sides on the league table.

'The Little Club On The Hill' have conceded far too many goals this season, 53, and will have to improve on that statistic if they are going to avoid the drop.

Their hopes of starting their defensive rejuvenation have taken a blow ahead of the clash with news that defender Mark Preece may miss out due to a knee problem.

Forward Steve Davies will not feature, while Curtis Mcdonald is back in the frame following a knee niggle.

Boss Dave Hockaday will be looking for an improved performance from his side after their last match ended in disappointment against Mansfield Town.
