Luton Town 3-0 Crawley Town

Luton Town moved to third place in the Blue Square Premier with a 3-0 win over Crawley Town at Kenilworth Road on Tuesday night.

A brace by George Pilkington and a goal by Tom Craddock saw Mick Harford's men record a comfortable victory.

The home side dominated the early exchanges and they finally made a break-through in the 36th minute when Pilkington netted the opener after some poor defending by the Reds.

Steve Evan's charges tried to fight their way back into the tie, but were unable to penetrate a resolute Hatters defence.

Eddie Hutchinson had the visitors best chance to score just after half-time when he found himself through on goal, but he failed to trouble the keeper as he fired his effort wide.

Pilkington grabbed his second of the game in the 62nd minute to give his side a two-goal cushion before Tom Craddock wrapped up the points for the home side when he got on to the end of a Claude Gnakpa cross.
