Danny Crow

Luton 2-2 Cambridge

A late brace from Danny Crow saw Cambridge United come from two goals down to grab a point against Luton at Kenilworth Road on Saturday.

Goals from Claude Gnapka and Tom Craddock gave the Hatters a two goal lead before Crow netted a brace as honours finished even.

After a dull first half the game came alive in the second period when Claude Gnapka gave the home side the lead on the hour mark after he latched onto a Kevin Nicholls' free kick.

Tom Craddock's wonder-strike from 30 yards out looked to have sealed the game for home side as he gave Luton a 2 goal advantage in the 79th minute.

But the visitors refused to throw in the towel and they were throw a lifeline just two minutes later when Crow beat U's keeper Danny Potter with a close-range header.

Cambridge then had the chance to get back on level terms a minute later when they were awarded a penalty after Fred Murray brought down Jai Reason in the area.

But when Pilkington made an excellent save from Chris Holroyd's spot-kick it seemed as if it would be Luton's evening.

However, this was not the case, as the Martin Ling's charges were awarded another penalty in injury-time and this time it was Crow who stepped up and he made no mistake to earn his side the draw.

Luton bookings: Keane.

Cambridge Utd bookings: Carden, Tonkin, Willmott.

Att: 7,458.

Ref: M Naylor (Sheffield).
