Richard Money

Luton Town v Newport County

Luton Town will be eager to stay at the top of the table when they entertain Newport County on Tuesday night.

The Hatters have been fantastic in their opening three fixtures, winning all of them and scoring eight goals along the way.

Town manager Richard Money, who has no injury or suspension concerns, is contemplating changes for the clash in order to give others a piece of the action but admits that he will respect his side's opponents.

"It's always nice to have the options and we will go through it thoroughly and know excactly what they are about, but select, in the main, what we are about," Money told Luton Today.

"If there is a change or two tomorrow it will be because we feel we need to make that change. It's not a case of keeping players happy. That's not my remit."

"They may surprise us in the way they come and play. I know Dean Holdsworth has employed a few different systems, two up top and three in the middle of the pitch in different ways," he added.

"We won't know how they play until kick off comes.

"They are a very established, old club with a League tradition themseleves. Coming to Luton tomorrow will give them a big lift and they will take a large travelling support with them.

"I went to see them play Stevenage and beat them 1-0. It tells everybody they are a good group.

"They won the league above last year by a country mile. That tells everyone they a good outfit.

"We have had them watched twice since."

Newport boss Dean Holdsworth is likely to take the opposite route to that of Money and go with an unchanged starting lineup.

County have made a steady start to their Blue Square Bet Premier adventure, drawing two and losing one of their opening three games.

Midfielder Wayne Turk still has a knee problem and will not feature, while defender Lee Baker is also out with a foot injury.
