Tamworth 3-1 Luton

Luton Town crashed to their first defeat of the season with a 3-1 reverse against Tamworth at The Lamb Ground.

After a confident start to the season, Luton were pegged back in midweek by a draw with unfancied Newport County and again came unstuck against less-fancied opposition on Saturday.

The Lambs took an early lead ten minutes into the game thanks to a stunning header from Kyle Perry after he was picked out by a cultured cross from Richard Tait.

The home side remained in front until the break but shortly thereafter The Hatters struck back through a powerful Tom Craddock shot from 18-yards.

New Luton signing Pavel Besta was then guilty of an error which allowed Danny Thomas a strike on goal to put Tamworth back in the lead with twelve minutes to play.

A stoppage time third from Daniel Bradley secured the points with Luton missing out on the chance to go top of the table.

Tamworth bookings: None.

Luton bookings: Adam Murray, Kroca, Gnakpa.

Att: 1,694.

Ref: Stephen Ross (Lincolnshire).
