Saunders calling the shots
Wrexham United captain Neil Taylor plans to keep his feet firmly grounded amid all the hype surrounds his team at the moment.
The Dragons have soared since Dean Suanders took over the managerial reins earlier in the season, but Taylor suggests that his side still have loads to do before they can think about mounting a meaningful title race.
Saunders' men have won their last five matches, the most successful starting stint by any manager to have taken charge at the Racecourse, but Taylor refuses to been caught up in the hype.
"We are doing alright," Taylor told the Evening Leader.
"I was looking at the table thinking 'if we win that and do that'.
"But you just have to take it a game at a time. We have done well to get where we are and just need to win our games in hand to be up there at the top.
The Dragons are just seven points behind league leaders Torquay, with two games in hand.
"The games in hand will be key games," Taylor continued.
"I never like having games in hand. There is nothing better than having points on the board and seeing the other teams fall short.
"But we have them in hand and it is a chance to get up near the top."
Wrexham have a few tricky games looming in the up-coming weeks, starting with a a top of the table clash against Kidderminster Harriers this weekend.
"We have got some tough games coming up and these will be testers," added Taylor.
"We have not really played any of the teams right up there lately, especially away.
