Saunders still looking to strengthen

Wrexham manager Dean Saunders has revealed that he is still looking to strengthen his options despite having a 34-strong squad at his disposal.

Injury-hit trio Kyle Critchell, Andrew Fleming and Simon Spender are close to a return but that is not stopping Saunders from casting his eyes over a number of trialists on Tuesday.

Saunders will field a squad to face an Accrington Stanley XI at Colliers Park featuring the likes of striker Kieron St Aimie and youngster Jake Richardson.

"With Kyle, 'Spends' and Fleming all getting close to leaving the treatment room we will have to weigh up the situation," Saunders told the Daily Post North Wales.

"It's something we will be having a chat about this week, particularly with regard to the loan signings, but we are still looking at players and a couple will have a run out in the morning."
