Wrexham have completed the signing of Charlton Athletic winger Luke Holden until the end of the season on an emergency loan deal.
The Dragons were waiting on a international clearance for Holden as he has already played for two clubs this campaign and FIFA rules state a player cannot play for three clubs in one season
The left midfielder, who was also linked with Coventry City, made just one appearance for Charlton during a three-month loan deal and has also played for the New Saints, Cammell Laird, Bradford Park Avenue and Rhyl, having started his youth career with Liverpool before joining Tranmere Rovers.
Holden told the club's official website: "It's a big relief. I've been training with Wrexham for getting on a month and can't wait to be playing again.
"Forcing my way into the team won't be easy, but I'm working hard on doing that.
"The faith put in me by Dean Saunders is great and a real boost.
"I just hope that I can repay him over the coming months."
A statement on the same website read as follows: "The club would also like to acknowledge the part that the Supporters Association are playing in this deal, by agreeing to finance the player's wages over the next three months.
Also we have to thank Charlton Athletic for the part that they have played in allowing Luke to become available for us to sign and therefore giving him the chance to win a contract at this level of the game."
