Garry Wilson

Chester v Eastbourne

Eastbourne Borough boss Garry Wilson will be hoping his side can turn things around when they travel to the Deva Stadium to take on Chester on Saturday.

Boro have picked up only one win in their last 13 games and Wilson is confident that his charges can come away with the three points against the bottom-of-the-table Blues.

He told ChesterFirst: "We know we have got to get ourselves out of this situation and I know we can do it.

"We have got to stay positive. If we keep slogging away and doing the right things the tide will turn.

"It is no good feeling sorry for ourselves. We have got to buckle down and keep working.

"It is hard for everyone at the moment, hard for the players, hard for the supporters, hard for me.

"I thought our team put in a good shift at home to Salisbury, but we go t nothing out of it (losing 1-0 to an injury time goal).

"I cannot complain when they put the effort in, it's when they don't put the effort in they get the rollicking.

"We knew our second season in this league would be tough. We also knew it would be a hard task just to stay in the league, so sometimes we have to put things into perspective."

Wilson will be without the services of winger James Fraser and defender Neil Jenkins, who are both suspended.

Chester will be looking to bounce back from their 2-0 loss to Stevenage last time out, but boss Jim Harvey knows that his side face an uphill battle.

Harvey will be without Neil Ashton and Michael Lea (both groin) and will be sweating on the fitness of Adam Kay, Kevin Roberts and Rhys Meynell, who are all set to undergo late fitness tests.

The Blues will also be without Johnny Flynn, Michael Coulson and Clark Keltie, who have all returned to their clubs after loan spells.
