Mansfield vs Salisbury

Mansfield Town host a resurgent Salisbury on Saturday with the Stags hoping to keep their play-off aspirations on track.

Manager David Holdsworth is hoping for a confident home display in front of the Mansfield faithful. Speaking to BBC Radio Nottingham he said: "One assistant manager at another club said to me recently that he knows if he comes here our fans will demonstrate their anger and their fears, and it is a fear because they want to get out of this league.

"I'm very mindful of that, I want out players to go out with confidence, I don't want them to be knocked."

Holdsworth will hope to see the return of Andy Burgess. The on-loan midfielder from Luton was ineligible to play against the Hatters on Tuesday and has also been suffering from illness.

Oliver Hotchkiss will definitely miss out with an ankle injury, Jake Speight has a knee problem while Luke Jones will be out for the rest of the season having ruptured ankle ligaments.

Salisbury have gone four league games unbeaten with star striker Matt Tubbs weighing in with four goals during that time. Tubbs finds himself top of both his club's and the Blue Square scoring charts and will be the man to inspire Salisbury once again.

The Whites will be without Chris Giles, Danny Web and Rob Sinclair. Jamie Turley is a doubt due to a back injury. Tommy Widdrington will however welcome back Patrick Cox after the defender served a one match ban.
