Jim Gannon
Stockport County manager Jim Gannon spared no punches in his assessment of the referee's performance in Saturday's defeat to promotion-chasing York City.
The Hatters looked to be heading for an unlikely win after Danny Rowe's 52nd-minute effort had given them the lead, but late goals from substitutes Jamie Reed and Matty Blinkhorn earned York all three points in dramatic fashion.
And Gannon was unhappy with a number of decisions made by referee Tony Harrington, telling the Manchester Evening News: "There are loads of questions we could ask the referee, but what's the point?
"They always go back to the script where they say five added minutes means at least five minutes.
"We just have to accept that we've got amateurs in the game."
After Saturday's defeat, Stockport find themselves sitting in 19th place with 29 points from 34 fixtures.
