Waterfall joins Altrincham

Tranmere Rovers manager Ronnie Moore has allowed youngster Luke Waterfall to move to Blue Square Premier side Altrincham on a month's loan.

The 18-year-old defender joined the Prenton Park club in the summer from Barnsley and despite featuring in pre-season for Rovers, Waterfall has failed to force his way into the first team.

Moore told his club's website: "Luke is a talented young defender who needs to be playing games.

"He'll get some great experience at Altrincham, will benefit from his time there and hopefully come back to push for a place in the team here."
