Walker: has an eye for talent
York City have signed midfielder Gavin Rothery on a short-term contract.
The youngster played for York's reserve team in midweek against Hartlepool and caught the eye of first team manager Colin Walker.
The 21-year-old was born in Leeds and featured in his home town's team under the reign of Kevin Blackwell. He was also involved in the England Under-19 set up.
Rothery will be eligible for Saturday's home FA Cup tie with Mansfield Town.
