York City have confirmed that trialist striker David Brown should have been credited with one of the goals accredited to Richard Brodie in Tuesday nights match at Tadcaster Albion.
One of Brodie's efforts actually struck Browns head and deflected past the keeper in the pre-season friendly although from some angles this was not visible and the goal was wrongly awarded to the City striker.
City ran out 6-0 winners and will now host Leeds United on Friday evening at Kit Kat Crescent, K.O.7.30pm. The visitors have sold almost 1000 tickets for the fixture and the remaining 1700 will be on sale at the turnstiles for Leeds fans who have been unable to purchase in advance.
