York City v Mansfield Town

Mansfield Town boss David Holdsworth aims to end York City's winning streak when his team visits Kit Kat Crescent on Boxing Day.

The third-placed hosts are in fine form having won their last eight league games on the trot.

Mansfield by contrast have won just one of their last six games yet they are still only five points behind City in fourth-place.

"They are only one place above us and have had a good run but all runs must come to an end. I would like to be the one who halts their progress," Holdsworth told his club's official website.

"Its roll your sleeves up time. Life is not a rehearsal so let's have a go."

He added that his team would be practising on Christmas Day ahead of the clash.

In team news, Holdsworth is likely to field goalkeeper Alan Marriott, who has recovered from a twisted ankle, which he sustained in the recent game against Tamworth.

Holdsworth will also be able to call on right-back Gary Silk, who has recovered from illness. This could see Jon Challinor drafted into midfield with Lee Morris likely to drop to the bench.

However, Rob Duffy, Craig Armstrong and Jake Speight are all suffering from a bug and are likely to miss out against York and possibly Cambridge two days later.
