Moss Lane

Altrincham v York City

Martin Foyle's York City will be aiming to get their play-off campaign back on track when they take on Altrincham at Moss Lane on Saturday afternoon.

Robins boss Graham Heathcote will have to make do without the services of club captain Tom Kearney after the midfielder suffered a double leg break against Wrexham in midweek.

Midfielder Robbie Lawton is also on the treatment table with an ankle injury, while striker Dale Johnson and centre-back Matt Doughty face late fitness tests after missing the Wrexham clash.

York manager Foyle could be forced to make a number of changes to his starting line-up with a number of first-team regulars rated doubtful for the clash.

Skipper Daniel Parslow and midfielder Levi Mackin have shrugged off respective knocks, but Alex Lawless (hamstring) and Chris Carruthers (ankle) are still on the sidelines.

David McGurk returns to contention after missing Tuesday night's 2-1 defeat to Salisbury with a knee injury.

Looking ahead to the clash, Foyle told York Press: "There's a lot of doom and gloom at the moment but the play-offs are still very much within our grasp. We have got to keep fighting and the players know that.

"There have been some individual mistakes but we've got to get on with it because we are all in it together.

"We're expecting a difficult game at Altrincham - there are no easy ones in the Conference and people need to understand that - but we will be able to get the ball down and play on their pitch.

"We are looking forward to that and then we've got two crackers against Mansfield and AFC Wimbledon and I would prefer to play those teams up there with us at the moment."
