York City v Barrow

York City, who have yet to notch up a win this campaign, are seeking a boost on Tuesday night when Barrow visit Bootham Crescent.

The Yorkshire-based outfit, who are 20th in the league, lost on the opening day of the Blue Square Bet season and followed up that result with draws to Grimsby Town and Bath City.

This run of form has forced Minstermen manager Martin Foyle to search for positive.

He told The Press: "The pleasing thing is that it's two out of two that we haven't lost away from home.

"It turns very quickly, but you don't want a gulf to start opening up. We know that we can compete."

"I want to win. I am greedy and we have to play like that on Tuesday night against Barrow," he added.

Mark Badman has completed a five-match suspension and can return to the fray for York.

Duane Courtney could also come back into the side following his return to full fitness.

Tuesday's visiting team, meanwhile, moved up to 17th in the standings when they chalked up their first victory of 2010/11 with a 2-0 victory over Rushden & Diamonds.

Jason Walker bagged both goals on the weekend and he praised the Bluebirds' new 4-5-1 formation.

"It was just good to get the three points more than anything," Walker told the North-West Evening Mail.

"Playing up front on my own was really good when you've got players around you like Ruthers (Paul Rutherford) and Goody (Marc Goodfellow) supporting you."

"I think all the players had the bit between their teeth in the second half," he added.

Defender Paul Edwards, who re-joined Barrow last week, featured in the win over Rushden and is likely to retain his place in the starting XI.

Paul Jones is back from an Achilles problem and is expected to feature.
