Martin Ling

AFC Wimbledon v Cambridge

Cambridge have received a major boost ahead of their trip to AFC Wimbledon as manager Martin Ling will be back in the dug-out.

Ling was laid low with a stomach bug and missed the fixtures against Forest Green Rovers and Altrincham but he will return for the clash against the Wombles at Kingsmeadow.

The hosts, who are ninth in the Blue Square Premier standings, have a few injury concerns with Paul Lorraine and Alan Inns both doubts.

Goalkeeper James Pullen has a thigh strain and is set to undergo a late fitness test. Should be fail to recover in time, boss Terry Brown will call upon Seb Brown in Pullen's stead.

Sixth-placed Cambridge have a clean bill of health following the return to fitness of Lee Phillips with media reports claiming the striker is likely to start on Saturday.

United's assistant manager Paul Carden told Cambridge News Online they are expecting a difficult match.

He said: "Wimbledon will be our toughest away game to date, but we're going there on a bit of a run and full of confidence."
