Cambridge United v Luton Town

Cambridge United will be gunning for all three points when they host an under-performing Luton Town at Abbey Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The U's are unbeaten in eight games while The Hatters come into the match having been soundly beaten by Wrexham in midweek.

But Cambridge manager Martin Ling is wary of Luton's recent form, insisting it could spark a backlash, starting against his side this weekend.

He told Cambridge News: "They're one team I know quite a bit about and they're the main money men along with Oxford, in this division.

"They've got good players all over the pitch and their lad (Liam) Hatch is someone I watched quite a bit when I was at Orient.

"Even though they're coming off a 3-0 defeat, I think it will be a tight game that will be decided by the odd moment here or there, but we go into it full of confidence."

Ling has also suggested that he will alter his side after sticking with the same players for their last eight matches.

He continued: "I watched training yesterday, and, for the first time in a while, I've got a selection headache, but we'll come up with the right selection for tomorrow."

Mark Beesley, Courtney Pitt and Lee Phillips are all being touted to return to the side with Beesley scoring United's second goal, having already set up Jai Reason's opener after coming off the bench in the 2-2 draw at York, with Pitt and Phillips also putting in a solid performances after their introduction in the closing stages of the game.

Ling revealed: "As a manager, it's what I get paid for, but I haven't made a decision whether Mark will [Beesley] get a start or to stick where we are.

"My head will get around that after training today, because sometimes you're thinking about doing one thing and somebody will come down with injury or illness."

Luton will be without Keith Keane due to injury, while Kevin Nicholls is suspended.

Ed Asafu-Adjaye and Lewis Emanuel have both returned to training but will not feature over the weekend.
