Cambridge Utd v Crawley Town

Cambridge United will be eager to bounce back against Crawley Town after suffering an opening day defeat to Wrexham on Saturday.

The U's were downed 1-0 at the Racecourse Ground, with Dave Partridge suffering a concussion against the Dragons.

The defender is set to undergo a late check by physio Greg Reid to determine whether he will feature on Tuesday night. Josh Coulson, who deputised for Partridge, is ready to take his place in the starting line-up if called upon.

Manager Martin Ling told Cambridge News Online: "Dave was knocked out for 10 or 20 seconds and didn't know where he was.

"He still wasn't fully with it after the game, so we'll have to see today.

"It will depend on whether he feels up to heading a ball or not.

"I told Josh he was unlucky to be left out, but I went for the experience of Dave because he's a talker and he gives you a natural balance with his left foot.

"I said to Josh 'prove what I did was wrong' and he went out with that attitude rather than have a long face and sulk."

Meanwhile, Michel Kuipers will be missing for Crawley after receiving his marching orders in the 1-0 defeat to Grimsby over the weekend.

Referee Carl Berry sent the goalkeeper off after he came out of his area in an attempt to head the ball clear, but he mis-judged the bounce and made contact with his left hand.
