Kedwell: Bagged a brace
Grays Athletic collected all three points at Recreation Ground on Saturday afternoon courtesy of two second-half penalties.
The visitors claimed the lead just before the half-time break when Jon-Paul Pittman latched onto a Ryan Hall assist pass and placed his 18-yard effort in the bottom-right corner.
However, the Blues looked the stronger team in the second period as they pushed for an equaliser.
The referee pointed to the spot in the 74th minute when Crawley defender James Krause was adjudged to have fouled Jamie Taylor in the area.
Danny Kedwell stepped up to take the resulting spot kick and made no mistake as he sent his effort into the bottom-left of goal.
Krause was at fault once again in the 82nd minute when he fouled Grays' Aaron O'Connor in the box and Kedwell dispatched the resulting penalty with aplomb.
Grays bookings: McCafferty 23, Ashton 49, Kedwell 67, Downer 90.
Crawley bookings: Joseph-Dubois 11, Krause 82, Bayes 86.
Ref: D Cook.
