Grays 3-3 Halifax

Halifax Town lifted themselves out of the dreaded relegation zone with a thrilling six-goal draw against Grays Athletic on Saturday afternoon.

The Blues opened their account in the 39th minute when Jamie Taylor headed in at the left-hand side of the six-yard box.

The Shaymen drew level just before the break thanks to Daryl Taylor but Grays reclaimed the lead just one minute after the break when Jamie Taylor popped up to net his second of the afternoon.

The visitors drew level two minute later when Danny Forrest sent a volleyed effort into the bottom-left corner.

Grays reclaimed the lead in the 86th minute when Scott Taylor collected Barry Cogan's cross from the left channel and fired his 12-yard effort into the bottom-right corner.

Both sets of supporters had been on a real rollercoaster ride the entire game and there was more one twist in the tail as Jon Shaw netted a late goal to level the scores once more.
