Jamie Yates
Burton Albion set a new Blue Square Premier record by securing 12 successive wins when they beat Grays Athletic at the New Recreation Ground on Saturday.
Despite losing manager Brian Clough to Championship side Derby, care-taker boss Roy McFarland continued the momentum, which leaves the Brewers 13 points clear at the top of the table.
The game was a tightly-contested affair with Jamie Yates' goal proving to be the only difference between the two sides.
Yates latched onto a pass from Greg Pearson and surged into the box, firing an effort into the bottom right corner to give the Brewers a 1-0 lead after half an hour of play.
The hosts had a few chances to snatch a point late on after continued pressure inside the Brewers half, but they were unsuccessful and they now sit only two points above the relegation zone.
