Mansfield 0-0 Grays

Mansfield were denied three points by Grays keeper Stuart Robinson, who saved a penalty as the Stags earned a share of the spoils at Field Mill.

The home side dominated proceedings and will have felt aggrieved not to have won.

It was the visitors, who had the best of the early chances though as Bradley Hudson-Odoi smashed his free-kick into the Stags' defensive wall while the hosts created their best opportunity in the ninth minute.

Luke Jones had a chance to let rip from the edge of the box but he dallied on the ball before being dispossessed.

Louis Briscoe should have scored in the 19th minute, but after beating his marker, he placed his shot wide of the right hand post. Briscoe missed another good chance after 25 minutes in what was Mansfield only real good chance until the second period.

Kyle Perry put Briscoe through on goal after the restart but again the winger failed to find the target.

The Stags won a penalty in the 55th minute with Briscoe fouled by defender Gavin Hoyte but Rob Duffy scuffed his shot allowing Robinson to get all fingers on the ball at the second attempt.

Duffy so nearly made amends for his miss in the 58th minute but his 30 yard shot hit the underside of the bar before bouncing back in play.

Lee Morris came close in the 82nd minute before Burgess forced Robinson into a great save while in the 87th minutes Gary Silk tested the keeper with a curling shot.
