Grays v Rushden & Diamonds

Rushden & Diamonds are looking to break into play-off places when they visit struggling Grays Athletic on Saturday.

Justin Edinburgh's side will be hoping to continue the form they showed last weekend in their 6-1 win at Hayes & Yeading. The Diamonds are chasing hard to make it into the play-off places by the end of the season and Edinburgh believes that keeping the team together through the January transfer window has been good for the squad.

"It's obviously refreshing for all of us that no one departed, we've built up a good continuity and good morale round the club of late and we want that to continue," he told the club's website.

Edinburgh has only two players unavailable this weekend with Curtis Osano and Cliff Akurang sitting out due to injury.

In contrast to Diamonds, continuity and morale are seriously lacking at Grays as they lie second from bottom, a full five points adrift of third-from-bottom Gateshead. Coach Julian Dicks has this week called on his side to give everything in their fight against relegation.

Speaking to the Thurrock Gazette, he said: "What we need is for the players to really give 110 per cent. If the players give 110 per cent we can do well, but recently not all the players have been doing this."

The Blues will be hoping that young left-back Andrea Zola, on loan from West Ham, can help a defence which has leaked four goals in each of their last two games.

Dicks said of the Italian: "Of the new lads, Andrea Zola has been making an impact. He looked good against Kidderminster and has got the passing skills from his father."
