Kettering v Grays Athletic

Kettering Town will be looking to continue their push for the play-off places when they entertain Grays Athletic at Rockingham Road on Saturday.

The Poppies are currently seventh in the Blue Square Premier standings having picked up three wins from their last five games and midfielder James Dance is confident that they can pick up the three points.

"We don't have too many excuses if we don't make the play-offs," Dance told BBC Radio Northampton.

"With the players here, we should easily be in the top five. We're settled now and results show that."

Kettering are set to welcome back Jean-Paul Marna and Andre Boucaud for the game.

The tie is also a must-win for Grays who currently languish in the relegation zone, nine points off safety.

However, Athletic boss Julian Dicks is determined to make sure his charges are plying their trade in the Blue Square Premier next term

But he admitted that his troop face a tricky task against an in-form Poppies outfit.

He told the Thurrock Gazette: "Kettering are not going to make it easy for us.

"I know the Grays fans are frustrated, but, when you take last Saturday, the supporters saw a team which was giving everything and when I spoke to supporters afterwards they said 'well done'.

"But it's important that the lads continue to give 110 per cent and cut out the defensive mistakes," he concluded.

Dicks has a fully fit squad to chose from with the exception of Harlee Dean, who is set to undergo a late fitness test.
