Matt Pattison's third goal of the season gave Woking their first win in nine games with a 1-0 defeat of Ebbsfleet.
Pattison struck in the 20th minute to clinch the three points for the Cardinals but they can count themselves lucky to have escaped with victory.
James Smith saw his header cleared off the line for the Fleet, who also had a strong penalty appeal turned away after the ball appeared to strike the arm of Jay Gasson.
The winner came when Danny Bunce's cross from the left picked out an unmarked Pattison, who struck a fine goal from eight yards out at the back post.
Adam Green and Liam Maram both had chances to increase the hosts' advantage but in the end one goal was enough to seal a much-needed win for Frank Gray's men.
Woking bookings: Maledon, Gatting, Lambu
Ebbsfleet bookings: McCarthy, Opinel, Purcell
Referee: D Phillips
Attendance: 1255
