Grant goes for French duo

Blue Square Premier club Woking have confirmed the signing of French defender Patrice Mondon-Konan on a one-year contract.

The 25-year-old Frenchman can play either right back or central defence and was included in the squad which lost 6-1 to Colchester United on Tuesday night.

Meanwhile, Woking boss Kim Grant is on the verge of clinching the services of another Frenchman this week.

19-year-old former Yeovil forward Wilfried Domoraud is expected to put pen-to-paper on a one-year deal on Thursday afternoon.

"I am on trial so I have to make sure I take my chance," Domoraud told the Woking News and Mail.

"I like Woking and I want to sign. Kim Grant is a good manager who was a striker so I can learn a lot from him."

Domoraud also played in the midweek loss to Colchester and was one of the standout performers, bagging Woking's only goal on the stroke of half time.
