Wrexham 1-1 Woking

Wrexham were unable to make their home advantage count on Sunday afternoon as Woking rallied after the half-time break to earn a share of the spoils.

The home side started in a positive fashion with defender Ashley Westwoood coming close to breaking the deadlock after just three minutes with a header from deep inside the area.

The Dragons finally got the breakthrough they were looking for in the 23rd minute when Marc Williams met Wes Baynes' outswinging corner with a well-placed header.

However, despite having more than their fair share of possession, Wrexham were unable to fashion a second goal and were made to pay for their profligacy after the break.

The Cardinals drew level in the 72nd minute thanks to on-loan Huddersfield striker Tom Denton, who fired a close-range effort into the bottom-right corner to set up a tense finish.

Wrexham bookings: Baynes 70, Suffo 81.

Woking bookings: Sam-Yorke 58, Denton 84, Domoraud 90+1.

Ref: D Bond.

Att: 4803.
