Woking 0-1 Kettering

Kettering Town moved up to tenth place in the Blue Square Premier standings after edging out Woking at Kingfield Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Despite having the home advantage, the Cards were unable to stamp their dominance on the game and failed to hit the target for the entire match.

Kettering, on the other hand, controlled proceedings and claimed 58 per cent of ball possession by the time the final whistle was blown by referee Coote.

The solitary goal came in the 20th minute when Jean-Paul Marna collected Alfie Potter's inviting pass and fired low and hard into the bottom-right corner.

The visitors almost doubled their advantage late in the second half but Richard Graham's effort from outside the penalty box went wide of the right-hand post.

Woking bookings: None.

Kettering bookings: Beardsley 79.

Ref: David Coote.

Att: 1414.
