Murray: Bagged a brace
Histon kept their promotion play-off dreams alive with a comfortable win over Steve Evans' Crawley Town on Tuesday evening.
The Stutes broke the deadlock just before the half-time whistle thanks to Antonio Murray's smart finish from 25 yards out.
The home side doubled their advantage in the 50th minute when Murray collected a Jack Midson cross in a dangerous area and sent his right-footed shot into the bottom-right corner.
Crawley saw the result put firmly beyond their grasp on the hour mark when Matthew Langston latched onto Gareth Gwillim's cross from the left wing and sent his effort into the top-left corner.
Histon bookings: Nightingale 54, Wright 60, Midson 83, Cambridge 90.
Crawley bookings: Pinault 55, Hall 63.
Ref: M Stewart.
Att: 601.
