Scott Taylor
Scott Taylor has expressed his joy at the chance to guide Lewes' youngsters through their debut season in the Blue Square Premier.
The veteran striker has traded Grays Athletic for the Rooks after putting his name on the dotted line last night.
The 32-year old has made 400 League appearances since making is debut at Millwall at the tender age of 18.
Manager Kevin Keehan told The Argus that he is hoping that the experienced Taylor will be the pillar the very young side need. Taylor said that he is up for the challenge.
"We know it will be tough but every season is tough.
"We need to knuckle down, work hard and get a good team spirit going. We need to make ourselves hard to beat and hopefully we can play a bit of football as well."
Taylor added that everything is going well at the club so far.
"Kevin Keehan has been superb. He has kept in touch, been patient and waited.
"I have been training and there are some young players but they are decent players.
"Hopefully people like myself and Barny can help them along."
Lewes kick off their pre-season away to St Francis Rangers next Tuesday before hosting Albion on July 19.
