Pre-season clash
Crawley Town manager Steve Evans is relishing his side's chances of defeating Championship outfit Crystal Palace in a pre-season friendly on Monday.
The Reds will face the Neil Warnock's charges on the 14th of July, before taking on Tottenham (22 July) and Arsenal (26 July) in their biggest pre-season schedule to date.
And Evans is keen on getting off to a good start when the Eagles visit Broadfield Stadium, even though he knows it will be a tough task.
"We couldn't have asked for a harder start than Neil Warnock and his Palace team," he told the Crawley Observer.
"Anyone who knows me and Neil will know that the game won't be played like a pre-season friendly. I think there will be a bit of a spark and I think it will be a bit fiery.
"One of the most high profile chairmen in the country, Simon Jordan will be here and there's a massive support for Crystal Palace so it will be good if the fans all came to support the team.
"I've not looked forward to a pre-season as much as this and it should be a cracking atmosphere at the stadium.
"Neil Warnock wants to come here and win and I want to send him back to Palace with his tail between his legs."
