Steve Fletcher
Crawley manager Steve Evans believes Blue Square Premier defenders have a lot to fear next season after the arrival of Steve Fletcher.
The free agent who joined the Reds from Chesterfield has been hugely impressive in the pre-season training sessions at Broadfield Stadium and is tipped to become one of the season's best summer signings.
The hitman proved his poaching abilities during his lengthy stint at Bournemouth and Evans believes he can do the same for Crawley.
The mentor told The Argus: "Big Steve has been looking very good in training. He has looked really sharp and his fitness is very good.
"We know he is not going to be the most mobile of players but, any ball in the box, he is going to put his head on it.
"He is someone who is going to win the ball in the air and give defenders a hard time which is something we didn't have last season."
Fletcher will have the chance to show off his skill when the Reds take on Crystal Palace on Monday in their first pre-season friendly.
