Steve Evans
Crawley manager Steve Evans will make his decision on signing former Arsenal frontman Isaiah Rankin after their pre-season game against a Tottenham XI on Tuesday night.
The 30-year-old, who also had spells with Bradford, Birmingham, Brentford, and Grimsby, came on in the recent 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace.
Rankin will try to impress the Reds boss against a strong Spurs side at Broadfield stadium in his second trial appearance for the club.
Evans told the Argus: "I know a lot of the Spurs players are in Spain but I spoke to (reserve team boss) Clive Allen and he said there will be a few big names.
"He says some of the younger ones with first team experience like Dorian Dervite and Andy Barcham will be involved and maybe some of the senior players who are currently going to Sunderland."
Former MK Dons player, Miles Mitchell-Coop, another trialist at the Reds, is also set to appear in the game.
Evans continued: "He played against us for MK Dons last year and we were very impressed with him."
