Kidderminster 2-0 Crawley Town

Kidderminster Harriers got their Blue Square Premier play-off campaign back on track with a victory against Crawley Town at Aggborough on Tuesday night.

Mark Yates' side had the best of the opening exchanges and they were rewarded for their efforts when on the half hour mark, right-back Keith Lowe headed home Darryl Knights' left-wing corner.

The Reds almost went two down just eight minutes later when Knights hit a stinging volley from eight yards out, but luckily for goalkeeper Simon Rayner, the ball hit the bar and Town were able to clear it to safety.

The second-half continued in similar fashion and the Aggborough side managed to double their lead on the hour mark when top-scorer Justin Richards latched onto the end of a Matthew Barnes-Homer's cross to take the score to 2-0.

Steve Evan's side tried to fight their way back into the game, and came close with a Mikey Malcolm effort that deflected wide off Chris McPhee.

The away side had one last chance when Lewis Killenn seemed to have goalkeeper Adam Bartlett beaten, but his shot hit the woodwork.

This pretty much summed up Crawley's evening as they failed to create enought clear-cut chances.
