Crawley Town 1-0 Altrincham

Charles Ademano scored his ninth goal of the season to secure a narrow home win for Crawley.

The striker scored with a well-angled header as he connected with Barry Cogan's perfectly weighted cross just as the game appeared to be destined to end in a goalless stalemate.

The visitors had the better of the early chances and Rob Williams came desperately close early on, heading inches over the bar in the opening passage of play.

Chris Senior then forced a great save from Simon Rayner with a shot from six yards out.

The home side then rallied well and, following wasted chances from Ademano and Eddie Hutchinson, were finally rewarded when the former struck to secure all three points.

Crawley bookings: Rents.

Altrincham bookings: Carden.

Att: 688.

Ref: John Farries (Oxfordshire).
