Crawley Town 2-1 Bath City

Crawley Town recorded a well-deserved 2-1 victory over Bath City in a Blue Square Bet Premier encounter played at Broadfield Stadium on Tuesday evening.

Matt Tubbs and Craig McAllister gave the Red Devils a 2-0 lead at the break before Danny Webb netted a late consolation goal for the visitors.

Tubbs continued his fine form netting his third goal in three games when he gave Steve Evans' charges the lead in the 20th minute.

The former Salisbury hitman latched onto a Steve Masterton cross from the right and blasted the ball home to make it 1-0.

The league's big-spenders then doubled their advantage just three minutes before the interval as McAllister netted from the spot.

Sekani Simpson brought down ex-Peterborough midfielder Sergio Torres in the area and McAllister made no mistake with the penalty.

The visitors were handed a lifeline when Webb pulled a goal back with 17 minutes to play.

Adam Connolly sent a deep cross into the area and Webb rose to head the ball home.

However, his effort proved to be too little too late as Evans' troops held on for their second consecutive win.

Crawley Town Bookings: Neilson, Torres, Rusk, Reason.

Bath City Bookings: Harris.
