Worcester City fans
Worcester City manager Richard Dryden has given Burton Albion's out-of-favour striker Jake Edwards a trial period at St.George's Lane.
Edwards was released by the Brewers at the end of last season and has been training with the Blue Square South outfit ever since.
If Edwards is able to impress Dryden, he could feature in the Royals first pre-season friendly against Cheltenham Town XI on Saturday.
The talisman enjoyed spells at Tamworth, Exeter City and Yeovil Town but could not produce the same form when joining Nigel Clough's side in 2007, managing four goals in twenty-three appearances.
Meanwhile, Dryden has invited several players to training including striker Anthony Robinson and defender Ollie Barnes.
The trio are likely to feature in the 22-man squad ahead of the Cheltenham tie as the Worcester boss prepares to make his final cut.
He told Non League Daily: "I still need twenty-two players for the Saturday game to have a look at.
"In the first game of pre-season, 45 minutes is more than enough for anybody, no matter how fit you are."
