Nigel Clough
Nigel Clough, manager of Blue Square Premier club Burton Albion, is keen on securing the services of another striker in time for the start of the season.
Clough knows he needs another forward after the departure of last season's top scorer Daryl Clare, with Jody Banim and Shaun Harrad the only recognised strikers on the books and Lee Morris in the process of proving his fitness and earning a contract.
He told the Burton News: "We need a striker because there are no guarantees with Lee Morris and that leaves us with just two recognised ones with Shaun and Jody Banim. So, we certainly need a striker and would take a defender.
"We've officially taken Matt Bailey on a month's loan - we thought we could look at him all pre-season but the FA state you can only play two games, even though they're friendlies. So we've had to start the loan two-and-a-half weeks before the season starts."
