Grayson: Scored the opener
Forest Green 1-2 Stafford
Forest Green Rovers slipped further behind the chasing pack after suffering a home defeat at the hands of a committed Stafford Rangers.
Stafford made the best possible start when veteran Neil Grayson found the back of the net with a superb volley from 20 yards out.
The hosts responded quickly and drew level in the 35th minute thanks to a sublime 20-yard finish by midfielder Michael Brought.
However, it was Stafford who had the last say, as Kevin Street latched onto a Marco Adaggio pass and placed his right-footed shot in the bottom-left corner.
