Stuart Fleetwood

Torquay 1-0 Forest Green

Torquay United will be flying high after their morale boosting victory over 10-man Forest Green Rovers on Easter Monday.

The visitors were reduced to 10-men when prolific striker Stuart Fleetwood was dismissed for violent conduct in the 28th minute.

The one-man advantage paid off for the home side just two minutes later when Roscoe D'Sane netted from the penalty spot after Darren Jones had brought down the Gulls' Lee Phillips in the penalty area.

Despite having a numerical advantage, the home side could not capitilise further as the visitors came into the game strongly.

But it looked as if it was all over in the 83rd minute when D'Sane stepped up for his second penalty of the afternoon. But his shot was saved by Terry Burton in the Rovers goal to keep the scoreline at 1-0 until the final whistle.
