The Shay

Halifax 1-1 Forest Green

Halifax and Forest Green kept the goods until the second half to clinch a point each at The Shay.

The first half proved to be a dour affair with The Shaymen creating the only real chance when Andy Campbell's header was blocked by John Hardiker.

Rovers finally got the ball rolling in the 74th minute when Daniel Carey-Bertram latched onto an assist pass from Anthony Tonkin and put the ball in the back of the net.

The hosts had the final say and responded almost immediately when Simon Heslop's cut-back across the six-yard box was hammered home by Darryn Stamp in the 77th minute to ensure the draw much to Chris Wilder's relief.

Halifax Forest bookings: Killeen .

Forest Green bookings: Pitman.
