Blue Square Premier club Forest Green Rovers have swooped to sign former Torquay loanee Kaid Mohamed.
Manager Jim Harvey persuaded the Cardiff-born striker that his career could be rescued at the New Lawn after he failed to make an appearance at Swindon Town last season.
The striker - who thrived in the Welsh Premier League - was then loaned out to the Gulls for a rather unfruitful spell.
But Harvey feels that the player has the pace and commitment to make a striking partnership with his other new signing, Andy Mangan.
