Forest Green 1-0 Mansfield

Mansfield Town slumped to yet another disappointing defeat as they took on Forest Green Rovers at the New Lawn on Saturday afternoon.

The game started brightly for the Stags, as Emile Sinclair threaded Nathan Arnold into the clear but the forward hesitated and ended up firing a tame shot from twenty five yards.

What proved to be the winning goal arrived in just the 11th minute. Alex Lawless cracked a pile driver into the top left-hand after Mike Symons lost control of the ball.

Mansfield had ample opportuninites to equal but a combination of bad luck and some inspired keeping from Terry Burton kept them at bay.

There was some booing from the away supporters as Mansfield left the field.
